When all people of every race, culture, faith or sexual identity are encouraged to participate fully and have equal access to basics like food and shelter, the workplace and health care, our entire society is richer for their participation and contributions.
As our LGBTQ community understands so deeply, such reasonable goals are not always easily achieved. It takes allyship, advocacy and leadership, as President Biden and his administration are quickly demonstrating in both words and deeds. In short order, Biden has issued an impressive number of executive orders and other actions to support the LGBTQ community, many of which should improve health care and health outcomes among the LGBTQ population.
